Vbot

A consumer robot-dog company founded by former Horizon Robotics VP Yinan Yu.

Vbot was founded in December 2024 by former Horizon Robotics vice president Yinan Yu, together with Wei Song, Horizon's former chief software-platform architect, and Zhelun Zhao, Li Auto's former director of intelligent-driving products — another representative case of talent moving from autonomous driving into embodied AI. The company set out from day one to build for home consumers; its first product, the Vbot Super Robot Dog (nicknamed “Big-Head BoBo”), is built around not needing a remote control, with autonomous following and companionship as its selling points. It was unveiled and opened for pre-order in late 2025, and after several rounds of pilot production began deliveries on May 8, 2026. That same month it closed a nearly RMB 500 million Pre-A round co-led by Oriental Fortune Capital, Huatai Zijin, and Fosun RZ Capital, bringing cumulative funding above RMB 700 million, earmarked for mass production, its sales network, and a next-generation humanoid robot.
